Baptism

CCC 1213
Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.”

Baptism Preparation Requirements

Parents are required  to attend a Baptism Preparation Session before having their first child baptized.  After that, they should attend again if it has been more than 3 years since their last child was baptized. At the session the importance of  baptism, the responsibility of the parents, and details / procedures will be discussed.

Parents may call the parish office at 783-5535 to register for the next session.  You may leave a message with you name,  and phone number so that we can call you back.
Upcoming sessions are  advertised in the weekly church bulletin and are held every other month on the second Monday at 6:00 pm.
